Brad Ber - upright and electric bass

For almost twenty years Brad has been a professional upright bass player specializing in rockabilly, blues, swing and rock and roll.  After a semester studying music business at Columbia College out of high school, Brad left to go join the music business.  He has performed alongside a wide array of artists, from originators of the American roots styles, to exciting new national acts.  Brad hit the road with the legendary Sun Records rockabilly artist Sleepy LaBeef. Since that times he's toured with blues and roots legends like Billy Lee Riley and Willie "Big Eyes" Smith.  He also spent a year acting and performing with the hit musical Million Dollar Quartet in Chicago, resulting in local and national television and radio performances.  A passionate performer, his take on the traditional slap style on the upright bass sets him apart from many in the blues world, and he has been known to do things on the upright bass that have never been seen before.  He has worn many hats, from recording artist and performer, to songwriter and recording engineer.  Brad credits his spirituality as a primary influence to his performing and creativity, and is honored for the opportunity to play with the Cash Box Kings.
